What kind of church is Lynwood?
We are blessed with a wonderful location and facility, but where we
gather is not the real definition of who we are. Lynwood is a church
filled with hundreds of people whose lives have been forever impacted
and changed through their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We
share a common fellowship, friendship, and focus as is described in
Acts 2:42-47.
We are committed to proclaiming Jesus Christ as the answer to all of
life’s dilemmas. At Lynwood you will find opportunities to serve
through our ministries designed to introduce people to Jesus Christ
and the gift of life he freely offers. We are affiliated with the Southern
Baptist Convention.

What should I expect when I visit?
Once you arrive on our campus, courteous attendants will assist you
in any way possible to help you find a parking space and direct you
to the area where you need to go. Greeters will welcome you to Lynwood
with a warm smile and help you find your way inside our facilities.
Campus maps are available for you to get familiar with our church buildings
and a printed map is available at the Welcome Center.

What should I wear?
There is not a dress code at Lynwood. Dress comfortably. While some
attendees do wear their "Sunday best," most folks wear casual
and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Sunday and Wednesday nights
are always casual. Don't worry about what you wear... just come expecting
a great experience!

What should I bring?
If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. A Bible will help you follow along in
Worship and in our Life Group Bible Study classes.

Where do my children go?
Lynwood has excellent preschool
and children's ministries.
Hosts at our Welcome Center just inside the entrance will assist you
in getting your children to their class or department. We offer preschool
childcare from bed babies through 5 years. Your children (grades 1-6)
won't want to miss our Sunday School classes held simultaneously during
our morning worship.

How small is Lynwood?
Lynwood may seem like a big church, but you'll really be interested
in how small our church is. It's an environment where you'll find you
can meet people and easily make friends.
We believe a major reason we can keep our church "small" is
our Life Group Sunday Bible Study
(Sunday School). In your Sunday School class you'll be a part of a small
group of folks your own age, from preschool through adults. It's a great
place to experience the wonderful fellowship of our church as you learn
together and begin building relationships.

How do I become a member?
We invite you to unite with us in one of the following ways:
- On Profession of Faith in Jesus Christ
If you have professed faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, you
may ask for membership through baptism by immersion.
- By Transfer of Letter
If you are a Christian and have been baptized by a Baptist church,
we will receive you upon transfer of your membership.
- By Statement of Your Christian Faith
If you have professed faith in Jesus Christ, have been baptized by
immersion, and are in full agreement with the doctrines of Lynwood
Baptist Church, we will receive you upon the statement of your faith.
